What You Need To Know About Mobile Number Porting

MNP was introduced in Nigeria by the Nigerian Communications Commission on April 22, 2013, giving you a chance to migrate from your network to another while retaining your number.
With mobile number porting, you can port from any other network to MTN, from any network to Glo and so on without you losing your number hereby saving you the stress of buying another sim

Here are some mostly used porting terms
Port In: When a subscriber joins a new service provider

Port Out: When a subscriber leaves a service provider
Recipient: The network the subscriber wants to port to
Donor: The service provider the subscriber is porting from

Who Can Use The Service?
Both prepaid and postpaid customers

Where Do I Go And How Do I Port?
Visit any retail shop, office of the recipient, service centres... You'll be asked to fill a "PORT" form and you'll be given a new sim and registered there and you'll be asked to send PORT to 3232. If you fail to send the text, your port request will not be honoured but if you do, your sim will be validated and you'll be notified with an sms...
As simple as ABC....

ENJOY!!!
